Thank you Judge Meigs for your many years of service to the people of Bibb County and Alabama.
Jack Meigs has served as Circuit Judge for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of the State of Alabama since 1991. He was re-elected unopposed in 2010 to a six year term.
"Jack" earned his undergraduate degree and J.D. (1982) from the University of Alabama and Meigs worked as an attorney in Centreville, Alabama for eight years prior to becoming a judge in 1991.
In addition to his judicial career, Meigs is currently a Director of First United Security Bank and is easily recognized by every Bibb County Choctaw fan as "The of the Bibb County Choctaws" because he has announced the local high school games for more than 20 years.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office released a photo of a man wanted for questioning in connection to a rape case.
They have not identified him, but they believe he could be in the Brierfield or Montevallo area.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

WEST BLOCTON, Ala - The Bibb County Sheriff's Office reports that a former West Blocton Reserve Officer is facing charges of sex abuse
of child under the age of 12, First degree Sodomy, First degree rape, and enticement of a child.
According to authorities the former officer Arnold has not been a part of the West Blocton Police Force for five years.
He is currently being held in the Bibb County Jail on a $750,000 bond.
