BIBB COUNTY BUCK MAKES THE RECORD BOOKS
BIBB COUNTY HAS RECORD BUCK

"This 16-point is the biggest buck from Alabama this season, as scored by Buckmasters!"

Buckmasters official scorer Steve Lucas measured the Bibb County deer at 177-1/8 semi-irregular. That easily exceeds the organization's 140 minimum score for a buck taken with a firearm to make into the record book.

Chilton County families used ration coupons to purchase common staples and committees were formed to organize drives to collect scrap metal to be used for the production of ships, tanks and airplanes.

Bibb County representative Rebekah Gaither was awarded $8000 scholarships for talent at 2015 Distinguished Young Women Alabama event.

Bibb County To Have More Influence In Montgomery

Bibb County will be well represented in the upcoming Alabama Legislature with there selections as chairs of important committes. Rep. April Weaver, R-Brierfield, will be the chairman of the House's Health Committee, state Sen. Cam Ward, R-Alabaster, will be the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee

Cahawba Christian Academy's Drama Team competed in three of four categories at the A.I.S.A. District Drama competition Wednesday, January 14th and came away with two first place awards and one third place finish.


 

Trace Vining received first place in solo competition with his performance of Hamlet's first soliloquy in Hamlet.
Keyanna Cutts, Anilyia Lilly, and Tori Jones placed first with their ensemble piece, Who's on First?
Ethan Crocker and Trace Vining received third place for their duet performance of the ghost scene in Hamlet.

Winning and placing at district competition allows Cahawba Christian's students to move on to state competition Friday, January 23rd at Faulkner University in Montgomery.
The drama team is directed by Mrs. Becky Davis.
