Branding in Denver, Colorado

Spotlight on Arapahoe Community College.

Arapahoe Community College offers more than 100 degree and certificate programs across three campuses in the Denver, Colorado, area. Next year, 2015, marks the college's 50th anniversary celebration, and to ensure positive growth into the future, Arapahoe engaged BD&E to focus on marketing strategy and rebranding efforts.

To coincide with Arapahoe's mission, values and its location at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, we developed an inspiring brand promise of "Move Mountains" to lead the efforts. We changed the college's identity to feature a more familiar acronym, ACC, and created a new aesthetic approach based on the local landscape's geometry. Print ads, brand standard guidelines, website and collateral templates were developed as well.

Almost Coast to Coast!

BD&E Associate Creative Director Kirk Littell packed his running shoes and headed west to participate in the king of all relay races, Hood to Coast. Considered a "bucket list" item for runners and adrenaline junkies alike, Hood to Coast is an overnight race spanning 200 miles from Mount Hood, the tallest peak in Oregon, to the town of Seaside on the Pacific coast. Kirk and his 11 teammates broke the course into sections, with Kirk running 20 of the total miles, including a 5-mile leg at 1:00 a.m.! The team finished with a competitive time of 32 hours overall and is already in talks to head back next year.

 Catching Up with Bella
Bella Lends a Paw.

Bella's Ice Bucket Challenge was only the start of our support of the ALS Association. On September 7th, Bella and her BD&E colleagues Kristina Martinez and Erin Kartman headed to Point State Park to participate in the annual Walk to Defeat ALS. They joined team Angie's Angels with extended family members in memory of Angie (Angeline) Kazmeraski. The event drew thousands of participants from throughout the region and raised more than $600,000 to benefit the ALS Association.
