Learning without Limits
Spotlight on PA Distance Learning.
|
|
In 2010, BD&E was tasked with branding PA Distance Learning Charter School. As part of the comprehensive branding initiative, BD&E completely redesigned the school's website. This past month, the engagement continued with the addition of a branded microsite. In order to track leads from different referring sites such as Google AdWords, Bing and Pandora, and to monitor the success and effectiveness of its advertising dollars, PA Distance Learning was in need of a digital solution. The new microsite, which was designed and implemented by BD&E, contains background information, testimonials, curricula, videos and a "Get Info" form for prospects. On the back end, the site facilitates content management and tracks and pinpoints ad buys to and through the microsite. The site also serves as a database for the collection, storage and distribution of new prospect information. PA Distance Learning provides a cyber school alternative to traditional brick and mortar school systems, and serves students from kindergarten through grade 12 across the state of Pennsylvania. By providing personalized attention in a virtual environment, PA Distance Learning is the practical option to one-size-fits-all education.

@ BD&E
Brandon Littell, son of BD&E Associate Creative Director, Kirk Littell, and a select group of students from the Honors Program at Rochester Institute of Technology, traveled to San Francisco during the spring semester to visit the offices of Apple, Facebook, Google, Zynga, Yelp and SmugMug. Brandon, a Game Design and Development major and Computer Science and Psychology double minor, will be entering his senior year at RIT. Before graduation, RIT students are required to complete a co-op, a 10-week long, full-time, paid position in a major-related field. The honors program-sponsored trip connects students with potential co-op employers. RIT alumni, engineers and recruiters from all six companies met with the students to discuss their experience and to provide insight on their professional lives.

| Catching Up with Bella
Bella's Gone Social.
To keep up with technological trends and the rise of social media, Bella has joined the world of Instagram. Rumor has it that she just couldn't pass up the opportunity to use Instagram's new, 15-second video feature. You can follow her @Bella_topdog for a behind-the-scenes look at current BD&E happenings and, of course, for cute photos and videos of our pooch at play. Who knows, she may even feel compelled to snap some shots of sock monkey, her favorite office accessory. Photos from her Instagram account may even be featured on our @BDEUSA Twitter account. For longer videos, check out her YouTube Channel. Need to contact Bella directly? Email her, she loves to hear from her fans! | |
