ญญญญญญญญญญญญBD&E Rebrands $1.5 Billion Company
Spotlight on Gateway Health
|
|
Gateway Health Plan is now Gateway Health. The 5th-largest private company in the greater Pittsburgh region, this company serves the needs of more than 300,000 of Pennsylvania's at-risk and most vulnerable citizens. Gateway Health Plan approached BD&E for its comprehensive branding and corporate identity needs. "We needed a change that would set us apart and complement our forward-thinking innovation and position us as an industry leader," stated Michael Blackwood, President and CEO, Gateway Health. Working directly with Gateway Health's senior management team, BD&E conducted research that yielded two simple, yet impactful recommendations ---- drop the word "Plan" from the corporate brand name, and evolve the company's existing bridge logo into a conceptual bridge icon. This new Gateway Health icon exemplifies the connection of services to members and the community, symbolizing a modern pathway to health: in essence, "A better way."

| Catching up with Bella
Earth Day Dog
Yes, earthlings, Bella loves planet earth, too.
She was recently spotted volunteering at this year's Earth Day celebrations. Bella was given the task of welcoming and registering individuals for nature walks, bird-watching and mushroom hunts throughout the 151-acre nature reserve. Bella wanted to be the "Walk Leader" for the bird-watching event; she felt she had a lot to offer on the subject of birds. The fine folks at Frick Environmental Center did consider her suggestion but, in the end, decided that Bella would be far "too enthusiastic" to lead that particular walk.
