Quiet Juggernaut...MCAA's National Education Initiative (NEI) Racks Up Serious Stats!
In the year 2000, John Koontz came to MCAA with this crazy idea of taking world-class PM and supervisory education around the country as a service to MCAA members. Turns out, it wasn't so crazy after all. To close out 2015, the 16th year of the NEI, Koontz recently shared some amazing statistics with MCAA: - 1,378 days - the number of class days taught
- 35,234 - the number of attendees in his classes
- 86 - the average number of classes taught per year
- 2,202 - the number of class attendees per year
- 26 - the average number of attendees per class
And...these numbers do not reflect the number of project managers Koontz has taught through MCAA's Institute for Project Management (IPM) and Advanced IPM (AIPM). These are impressive stats to be sure, but the impact's the thing! The National Education Initiative itself has grown to include a remarkable faculty including: Kathy Crosby, Tom Williams, Jim McCarl, Brett Endres and special guest faculty such as Professor Tim Wentz and Jack Wilhelmi. Subjects range from basic supervisory skills to the latest in concepts in BIM and related technology. From a crazy Y2K idea to an industry education juggernaut, the NEI continues to quietly provide MCAA members world-class education at their location. Thanks for the crazy idea, Mr. Koontz...any more you want to discuss?
