Registration is Open for MCAA's 2016 ALI-Graduates (ALI-G) Program

For the past few years, graduates of MCAA's flagship leadership program - the Advanced Leadership Institute (ALI) - have been asking MCAA "what's next?" The answer is the ALI-G, the Advanced Leadership Institute - Graduates program. ALI-G is a three-day, high-intensity experience that builds on what ALI graduates learned and experienced at Babson and will enable them to experience new concepts, practices, and feedback methods to become even more effective leaders! The ALI-G is open to ALI Graduates only and is strictly limited to 30 attendees to ensure the exclusivity and individual attention this program is designed to provide. Graduates should watch their email for their individual ALI-G invitations.

Does this program sound intriguing and something you really want to attend, but you're not an ALI graduate? Watch this space in next week's National Update for news about applying for ALI 16.
Learn About the Affordable Care Act Reporting Requirements

If you have questions about the reporting and notice requirements mandated by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), then plan to participate in a webinar presented by MCAA and the Groom Law Group on December 9, 12:00 p.m. You will learn about your obligations to your employees at all levels and to the Internal Revenue Service. Topics to be covered include:
  • How to determine if your company is subject to the ACA employer mandate, and if so when.
  • Who counts as a full-time employee?
  • If your company is subject to the employer mandate, what are the penalties that could apply?
  • What special rules apply to employers that participate in a Taft-Hartley health plan?
  • Which of the new IRS reporting requirements are the obligation of the employer - and how much of that burden can be shared by the multiemployer health and welfare plan?
This webinar is free as a membership benefit to MCAA and MSCA members.
