MCAA Releases Confined Spaces Model Program
MCAA Releases Confined Spaces Model Program

MCAA's Model Permit-Required Confined Space Program for Construction is now available. The new program, which is free to members as a benefit of membership, makes it easy and cost-effective to establish permit-required confined space programs as required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) new standard on Confined Spaces in Construction. The standard requires employers, under specified circumstances, to establish written permit-required confined space programs. Suitable programs help employers protect their workers from confined space hazards and comply with OSHA's new confined spaces standard. The standard became effective on August 3, and becomes enforceable on October 2. This new MCAA safety resource, which can be tailored to meet members' specific needs, includes:
  • A model permit-required confined space program;
  • A confined space entry preparation checklist;
  • A model permit-required confined space permit;
  • A side-by-side comparison of key differences between OSHA's construction and general industry confined space standards; and
  • A summary of OSHA's Confined Spaces in Construction Standard.
Make sure your company is in compliance with the new standard by downloading the model program today.

Presented by the Hilgeman Group, the session covers all applicable OSHA and NFPA requirements (including the revised NFPA 70E requirements), best practices and provides participants with real-world accident information to reinforce the training.

Impact Profitability with Dispatchers Training
Impact Profitability with Dispatchers Training

Service dispatchers are critical to a company's productivity and profitability. Therefore, it is important that service dispatchers get the most from limited resources, build strong customer relationships and understand the needs of service technicians and managers. However, many dispatchers don't reach their full potential because they haven't had the opportunity to acquire or fully develop the complex skillset needed to be effective in this role. MSCA's Dispatcher Professional Development Training Program (September 14-15, St. Louis, MO) closes that gap with a comprehensive program created specifically for new and experienced dispatchers. This is the last dispatcher training for 2015.
