During this program attendees will learn the value of utilizing detailed assessment reports that can be created using MSCA's ESP reporting software and how these reports can greatly enhance a sales presentation. A demonstration will be presented on how the data from data loggers can be downloaded into your ESP program and then utilized to create customized reports. Thom Brazel of Ruthrauff Service (Pittsburgh, PA) and ESP Developer Kevin Rahe will lead the webinar. This webinar is free as a benefit of MSCA/MCAA membership. HENRY HEIER RECOGNIZED FOR EFFORTS TO EDUCATE STATE LEGISLATORS ABOUT COMBINED HEAT AND POWER BENEFITS

Henry Heier, Executive Director of the Mechanical Contractors Association of the Central Gulf Coast, was honored recently with the Policy Champion Award by the Texas Combined Heat and Power Initiative. The award recognizes an elected official, regulator or individual who helps promote positive public policy that advances the use of combined heat and power (CHP). Heier, members of the MCA of Central Gulf Coast and other CHP supporters in Louisiana, pushed for legislation in the Louisiana House aimed at ensuring CHP would be evaluated prior to the construction or renovation of any critical government facilities. With the help of Heier and association members, Louisiana State Resolution 171 passed. The Louisiana law is similar to a Texas law that aims to keep critical facilities operating with reliable CHP systems when major storms and other disasters strike. Federal energy policies encouraging combined heat and power and waste heat recovery for industrial facilities also will be on the agenda for the MCAA National Issues Conference. Congratulations on your award, Henry!
