FIND OUT WHY AND HOW YOUR COMPANY'S COMPENSATION AND INCENTIVE PLANS CAN BOOST YOUR BOTTOM-LINE
At MCAA 2013 (March 17-21, San Antonio, TX), FMI's Sal DiFonzo will explain why you need to rethink how you pay and reward your staff. He'll discuss: the "carrot" in structured incentive plans that's missing in discretionary plans; how to implement a "pay-for-performance," market-driven, bottom-up philosophy in allocating end-of-year incentives and rewards; and the benefits of using sales staff to bring in new specialty contracting business by creating defined territories, account lists, quotas and a goal-oriented compensation plan. This session may just provide the bottom-line boost your company needs. Go to www.mcaa.org/mcaa2013 to scan our Planning Guide for more business growth educational offerings and then register using our convenient online process. |

Go to www.mcaa.org/safetyawards for more information and the online form for submission of your 2012 safety statistics. Contact Pete Chaney (pchaney@mcaa.org) with questions. |
REGISTER NOW FOR MSCA'S SELLING EFFICIENCY EFFECTIVELY PROGRAM Each year, worthwhile energy-saving proposals-many of which are products of costly engineering studies-are not funded because contractors focus on the nuts and bolts of improving a building's energy-consuming systems without asking about who decides to fund a project and what factors drive their decision. Selling Efficiency Effectively will guide mechanical service contractors through the in's and out's of what it takes to close the sale on their efficiency projects. Popular presenter Mark Jewell will lead this intensive two-day program February 28 - March 1, at the BWI Airport Marriott, Baltimore, MD. Go to http://www.mcaa.org/education/msca/ to register. |
NEXT QUALIFIED-LEVEL ARC FLASH SAFETY TRAINING WEBINAR IS JANUARY 21
Your service technicians still have time to register for the next NFPA 70E Qualified-Level Arc Flash Safety Training webinar! Two sessions are coming up on January 21 at 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Eastern time. Designed for MCAA/MSCA members' employees who are potentially exposed to live conductors of 50 volts of electricity or more during their workday, the webinar is ideal for mechanical service technicians who work on units that push 480 volts or less. Presented by the Hilgeman Group, the session covers all OSHA and NFPA requirements, best practices and NFPA's recent changes to the 70E requirements and provides participants with real-world accident information that will reinforce the importance of this training. This training is available at a special rate for MCAA/MSCA members. Register at ahilgeman@frontier.com. |
NCPWB IS YOUR BEST SOURCE FOR CODES INFORMATION
Since the 1930s when gas and electric arc welding were accepted as the preferred pipe joining method, a mechanical contracting firm's profitability has been governed mainly by the quality of its work, its safety record, and how well it adheres to applicable codes and state regulations. The National Certified Pipe Welding Bureau (NCPWB) provides the tools to help ensure that your company's piping installations meet or even exceed applicable codes and state regulations, thereby reducing your liability risks. Find out more about how the NCPWB can help your company by contacting Nick Nikpourfard at nnikpourfard@mcaa.org or at 800-556-3653. |
