Hello Families!
This week we will have our last session of PARRC testing! We will again be using the paper based test with a similar schedule to last time. Please bring healthy snacks for our kids! Suggestions for healthy snacks include fresh fruit, graham crackers, pretzels, fruit leather and easy to handle yogurt tubes. We appreciate your support!
Thank you to Abbie Jackson and her volunteers for a wonderful Jog-A-thon last week!
Thank you to the awesome teachers, students and families that came out to celebrate science at our Science Fair/Family Science Night.Thank you to Sandia National Labs for supporting our future scientists with family science nights!
As this year is wrapping up, it's been so wonderful to see the wonderful growth occurring in our students at CIS. I urge each of you to consider the education and experience that Corrales International School has afforded our children through this year, and consider what that has been worth to you and your child. Help the CIS Foundation build upon the work begun seven years ago to ensure the long term success of Corrales International School. Please consider donating to the CIS Foundation 2015 Annual Fund Campaign! These funds will ensure the long-term stability of CIS by contributing to the purchase of the amazing facility we are now in.

Risk-takers
They approach unfamiliar situations and uncertainty with courage and forethought, and have the independence of spirit to explore new roles, ideas and strategies. They are brave and articulate in defending their beliefs.
Activities for parents
* If your child is feeling uneasy about trying something, encourage them to attempt it and then reflect on both whether they liked the
activity and how it felt to try something new.
* Be careful to explain to your child the difference between being a risk-taker by trying new things and doing dangerous things.

CORRALES INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL FOUNDATION
FUND '15
Have you had a chance to donate to the Annual Fund Drive this year? As you may know Corrales International School must raise funds to pay for the purchase of our new home. With the help of our amazing community we can do this! The CIS Foundation is asking each family to ask themselves what a quality education is worth and consider donating at this time. If it's not in your budget this year, you might consider hosting a fundraiser in your home, assisting in upcoming fundraisers, or helping the Foundation reach out to business or individuals in our community that might be able to donate to our school. Please contact Anna Prewitt annaprewitt@gmail.com, or John Perea johnperea@aol.comto help support the CIS Foundation.
The CIS Foundation would like to recognize and thank each of the families that have contributed to the ongoing success of our Annual Fund this year! There is still time to make a difference in the stability of our amazing school. We are hoping to raise $100,000 this year through donations, grants, fundraisers and community support to pay for the purchase of our beautiful facility to ensure the longterm success ofCorrales International School.
Remember that the Corrales International School Foundation is a 501c3, and all contributions are tax deductible. We can accept cash, check, credit card and Paypal payments. You can also choose to donate through the United Way.
Thank you to our generous donors this year, who are helping to light the way for education!
