Thank you to our amazing community that has pitched in to get so much done at our new school! We could not have gotten so much done without your generosity and support.

A big thank you to the CIS Foundation for buying our sand (and the fencing to come thisweek!),  the CIS PTA for purchase of our swings, and to the Spauldings, Ortegas, Bachands, Dennisons, Prewitts, Cremeens, Romeros, Morrows, Andersons, Trails, Holmans, Yoders, Nicksons, Bucios, Carricks, Frasers, Brainards,  Volkmanns, Brandon Zamora, the Rivas's and David Diaz for hours of hard work at our new school!

School Supplies
This year our wonderful teachers would like you to simply pay a supply fee instead of requiring you to purchase school supplies for the classroom. This will allow our clever teachers to stretch your dollars by buying in bulk while also allowing them to purchase uniform supplies for the classroom as they need them, saving both storage for them and money for you!

PYP teachers are requesting $30 paid in August and $30 paid in January. 
MYP teachers are requesting $40 paid in August and $40 paid in January.

If this supply fee is not feasible for your family, please contact Dr. Diaz at diaz@corralesis.org.

Dear CIS Family,

 

Thank you to all of the families that came to the Meet the Teacher night.  It was really nice to see all of the excited faces exploring our school.  I hope you all had a nice time and are excited to start the new school year on Monday!

 

We have had to cancel school on Friday, August 22nd due to unforeseen but necessary plumbing work.  The Meet and Greet has been rescheduled for August 29th.

Pick up and Drop Off procedures

Morning Drop-off  7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.

  1. During morning drop-off parents may only park outside of building.
  2. Parents may use the student drop-off entering through Wilshire Ave heading East only.  
  3. Parents CAN NOT enter the drop-off area if they are heading West on Wilshire Ave. 
  4. Parents using the drop-off must exit onto S. Pan American (access road)
  5. Please have your students ready to exit the car when you enter the drop-off lane.
  6. It is important that the drop-off lane moves continuously with less than 2 minute stops.
  7. Teachers will be at the drop-off area to ensure students arriving between 7:30-7:50 a.m. enter the Multipurpose room or the safe playground area.
  8. Students arriving after 7:50 a.m. need to go directly to their classroom.

Afternoon Pick-up  2:55 p.m. - 3:15 pm.  PYP

  1. Kindergarten and 1st grade students will be at the pick-up area by  2:55 p.m.
  2. 2nd  - 3rd grade students will be at the pick-up area by 3:05 p.m.
  3. 4th -5th grade students will be at the pick-up area by 3:10 p.m.
  4. If you have a child in two or three of these grades you are encouraged to wait until the last pick-up time to pick all your children together.  
  5. It is important that the pick-up lane moves continuously.
  6. Students in PYP that have siblings in MYP will be taken at 3:15 to after care.  There will be no charge if your MYP and PYP student are picked up  by 3:40 pm..
