Construction is almost completed!
Dear CIS Families:
The construction in our new location 5500 Wilshire Ave. NE is almost completed. There are a couple of snags and we are working to resolve them. For example our elevator has been delayed. It has an estimated delivery date for August 8th.
We are hoping that the elevator will be installed before our first day of school which is August 18th. If for some reason the elevator is still being installed during the week of August 18th, the teachers and I will be meeting to come up with a plan B of activities for our students during this week.
I did request however at the Governing Council meeting last week for permission to delay the start of school from August 18th to August 25th. I did this just in case something comes up that is beyond our control and we can not start school on August 18th.
However, I do not expect to have this need and as I stated earlier, the teachers and I will be looking at other alternatives of modifying our week in order to NOT delay school.
