It's that time of year again...Jog-A-Thon! As many of you know Jog-A-Thon is our school's biggest (and one of the most fun) PTA fundraiser of the year, and this year all proceeds will go towards the purchase of playground equipment for our new building! All students must turn in a signed permission form to participate. Students do not need to have raised funds in order to participate. Students without signed permission forms must be in dress code.
This year, students who will participate in the run are encouraged to wear green to commemorate Earth Day. Students are encouraged to go crazy with green--green accessories, green clothing, GREEN HAIR but remember to wear clothing comfortable for running! Families are encouraged to come and cheer on your joggers.
Last year our amazing students brought in close to $8500 and this year (since we are so awesome), we're hoping to exceed that amount. We need all the help we can get from our fabulous CIS families though! Your child's funds raised will be due May 9th.
This year our kids can win a 4 pack to Cliff's Amusement Park, 4 tickets to the Isotopes, 4 tickets to the Climbing Gym, Hinkle Fun Center or 4 tickets to Popejoy and there will be prizes for those that raise the most money as well as for those that run the most laps!
Friday's Jog-a-thon Schedule:
9:00: Jog-A-Thon begins with grades K-1
9:20: Jog-A-Thon continues with grades 2-3
9:40: Jog-A-Thon continues with grades 4-5
10:00 Jog-A-Thon concludes with grades 6-7
10:20 Jog-A-Thon concludes with grades 8-10
The PTA will be making and selling smoothies for $3.00 after the run!
