CIS Backpack Express

Happy Monday CIS families!
I hope everyone stayed nice and warm this weekend.  Winter is definitely in the air and temperatures will be pretty cold this week.  Please make sure your students bring weather appropriate clothing to school, especially a heavy coat or jacket.   Remember, outer-wear can be of any color.

This month's IB Learner Profile is COMMUNICATOR.

Communicators

understand and express ideas and information confidently and creatively in more than one language and in a variety of modes of communication.  They work effectively and willingly in collaboration with others.

You can help your child at home to learn this profile by:

  • Encouraging your child to stay in touch with relatives and friends who live in other countries by writing letters, using the phone or sending email.
  • Encouraging your child to explain his/her answers to you orally or by drawing a picture.
  • Working with your child to improve his/her listening skills.  Being a good listener is an important part of communicating with others.
  • Utilizing the school sponsored Spanish link

    http://spanishcorrales.blogspot.com

        • to enhance communication skills.
