VT Pamplin 2016 Grads Still Looking for a Job?
We take placement rates for our graduates seriously. As you close out your academic career, we want to help you land your first job.
If you have already accepted a job, congrats! Pretty please respond to the university post-graduation survey that has been directly sent to you. It's important to us that you fully complete it.
If you are still looking for a job, then keep reading....

Here is how it works. You must read carefully and follow all steps.
1. Email a PDF resume as an attachment to sgkarlin@vt.edu by Monday, April 18th at 12 noon. If you are late, it will not be added. No excuses.
Name your PDF resume file according to this format.
Major, Last name, First name, Geographic Preference
For example, "BIT Mease Stuart DC"
Here are the abbreviations to follow:
Accounting and Information Systems use ACIS
Business Information Technology use BIT
Economics use ECON
Finance use FIN
Hospitality and Tourism Management use HTM
Management use MGT
Marketing use MKTG
For double majors add and. Ex. ACIS and FIN
DC Metro use DC
Richmond Metro use RICH
Any Location use ANY
Please choose only one geographical preference.
If it is not in this format, we will NOT include it.
All resumes will be sorted and shared with our 1,000 employer database at the end of next week. If employers are interested, then they will contact you directly. Over the years, we have had many examples of positive outcomes as a result of this effort.
Again, please carefully follow the directions before sending.
2. Come see us in the Pamplin Atrium during the week of April 11-15 from 10am-12pm to get some advice on your particular job seeking questions.
We cannot get or guarantee a job. You must be proactive.
