This will be the last Career Connect of 2015. As you begin your winter break, please take some time to prepare and plan for spring recruiting season. Important dates to know:

Friday, January 22nd: Live Podcast Q&A with Pamplin Career Services
Wednesday, January 27th: Spring Business Horizons 1-6pm Squires Commonwealth Ballroom
Thursday, January 28th: Day after Interviews 8:30am-4:30pm
Please check www.businesshorizons.org and download the Business Horizons app from your app store closer to the event date to view attending companies.

Name: Jessica Wherry
Year Graduated: 2011
Major: Marketing
Where are you working now? Kohl's Department Stores
Job title/Job Responsibilities? I started my career with Kohl's after graduation as a manager in trainee in the Baltimore market. I was placed as the Children's Footwear and Home Assistant Store Manager and then later moved into the Hiring and Operations Role. In June 2014 I was promoted to my current position as Store Manager in Herndon Virginia. In a nutshell, I am responsible for inspiring the team to always put the customers first, build great teams in our building, and drive sales.

Company Days in the Pamplin Atrium
Company Days are when firms come to the Pamplin Atrium and setup booths for students to learn more about their employment opportunities. Firms will distribute food, swag and info about their company. This is a great opportunity to connect with recruiters in an informal way. Firms will typically be there from 10am-2pm each day.
Tues December 15: Carmax
Are you running on empty as exam time approaches? Strategy analysts, IT folks and recruiters from CarMax will be on campus on to get you refueled and revved up for your academic challenges this exam season!
