What Pamplin Student Advancement and Career Services Does for Me?
| The purpose of Pamplin Student Advancement and Career Services is to attract the best students interested in business, develop these students both professionally and personally, and connect students to employers to insure lifetime career success.
Our career services staff has expanded with our new associate director, Jenn Carty, who recruited students at Business Horizons with her firm. Her knowledge and expertise will be valuable to you.
Over two-thirds of college recruiting is done in the fall semester. Starting now is essential to obtaining a full-time job or internship. Activities will come quick and often in the first few weeks of classes.
This newsletter will be sent each week offering opportunities for you to act upon. We cannot guarantee you a job or internship, but we can guarantee that we will help you along the way.

Business Horizons - September 17
| The Fall Business Horizons Career Fair is Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 10:00am to 4:00pm in Squires Commonwealth Ballroom.

We will be hosting a session on How to Prepare for Business Horizons on Thursday, September 10 from 5-6pm in Pamplin 1045. You will not want to miss it.

| Company Days in the Pamplin Atrium | Company Days are when firms come to the Pamplin Atrium and setup booths for students to learn more about their employment opportunities. Firms will distribute food, swag and info about their company. This is a great opportunity to connect with recruiters in an informal way. Firms will typically be there from 10am-2pm each day.
Monday, August 24 - EY (3rd largest employer of Pamplin grads since 2010)
Wednesday, August 26 - KPMG (4th largest employer of Pamplin grads since 2010)
Thursday, August 27 - Deloitte (THE largest employer of Pamplin grads since 2010)

Meet the Firms - September 3 (5-8pm Pamplin)
| For Accounting students, 23 public accounting firms will be in the Pamplin Atrium on Thursday, Septebmer 3 from 5-8pm. This event is ESSENTIAL for ALL accounting students and is being held in conjunction to the accounting departments's mandatroy orientation session for its students. Food and swag will be provided.
