3. Meet the Public Accounting Firms |
Meet the Firms will be held on Thursday, September 4 from 5-8pm in the Pamplin Atrium. There is no cost to attend, but you must register.
From 5-6pm, 6-7pm and 7-8pm, the Accounting department will be holding mandatory meetings for its sophomore, junior and senior classes. By holding the Meet the Firms at the same times of these meetings we feel more students will come to both events.

4. Pamplin Grads Still Seeking Employment |
In mid-April, we sent you a list of Pamplin graduates who were still seeking full-time employment.
If you are still looking for graduates to fill open positions, please review this list - if you missed it. Additionally, here are a few more who are still on the market too. Please contact directly.
Also, contact Emily Africa (eafrica@vt.edu) to pitch your opportunities to students still seeking on our webinar with these students. |
5. Pamplin Diversity Recruiter Sponsorships |
Last year under the direction of Emily Africa, we began the implementation of the Pamplin Diversity Recruitment Strategy.
After year one, we raised $75,000 from employers that was matched 2-1 by Pamplin to create ten (10) $5,000 per year scholarships for four (4) years.
As a result of your support, the incoming freshmen class percentage of non-caucasian students increased from 24% to 30%.
The follow companies have committed to the 2014-2015 academic year:
