2013 Post-Graduation Survey Results
The University Career Center completed their annual survey of the class of 2013 graduates.  

Here are some highlights:
  • The placement rate for Pamplin business students increased from 72% in 2012 to 73% in 2013 (highest of any college at VT and compared to 53% for the entire university). Thank you for hiring our students!    
  • The continuing education figure is 10% compared to 11% last year. Most are ACIS students doing a 5th year. We have the lowest rate of any college in the university and the university figure is 25%.    
  • The still seeking category remaining unchanged from 2012 at 17%, which is the lowest of any college and compares to the university average of 25%.    
  • Median salaries remained constant at $50,000.    
  • The number of graduates working in DC metro declined from 52 to 47% while Richmond increased from 11 to 14% and Roanoke/NRV rose from 7 to 9%.    
  • Median salaries by major:
    • Accounting - $52,500
    • Bus Info Technology - $60,000
    • Finance - $55,000
    • Hospitality and Tourism Mgt - $35,000
    • Management - $49,000
    • Marketing - $44,000
