December 5 Career Event in Pamplin Atrium
|
On Thursday, December 5 from 10-2pm in the Pamplin Atrium we are going to have one final career event in 2013. Tables will be setup with the following stations:
- Job search assistance for December Grads
- Computers for Seniors to take the BusinessWeek Survey
- Computers for any Pamplin student to take the Universum survey.
- Multiple employers who are still looking for full-time hires.
- Free Food
The purposes of the event are to assist students in getting jobs, help employers find the talent they need, capture student success stories and opinions to key surveys, and feed students.
If you are a senior (or any year) and are still looking for jobs, please make an effort to stop by December 5. |
| Local Summer Internships - December 3 |
On Tuesday, December 3 from 730am - 9 am at Tecton Products (about 30 minute drive from Blacksburg @ 5415 Corporate Cir, Salem, VA 24153), I have been asked by the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council to present on the topic of summer internships. Attendees at this meeting will be local companies who want a sales and marketing intern for the summer. I am inviting students who are interested in a local summer internship to accompany me to this meeting and talk to interested local employers. Yes it is an early meeting, but it will be worth the effort. I am limiting the number of participants to first five (5) that email me at smease@vt.edu. Students will be required to dress in professional attire and provide their own transportation.

Virginia Tech supports this survey, and we strongly urge you to participate. In fact, a significant student response rate is required for a school to be eligible for ranking.
