Greetings!
One more time, kudos to Lakewood H.S. for winning the Katy Perry ROAR contest! The students and faculty were treated to a free concert with Katy Perry (wearing a LHS cheerleader's uniform) on October 25th. And if you haven't seen the video that prompted this - watch it now...the Village Roaster was on hand for the filming, keeping everyone pumped with coffee and hot cocoa!

Tea Tasting Event

 Hunting Season Spice
'Tis the season when men grow beards, don flannel shirts and take to the mountains to hunt. (Check out our very own bearded hunter in this photo!) To bring out the best in the whatever you bring home from your hunting adventure, we'd like to recommend our Hunter's Blend pepper.
Hunter's Blend is a blend of Malibar, white, green, and pink peppercorns with chili flakes, whole cloves, coriander seed, fennel, and sesame seed. In addition to seasoning meat, it's also delicious on eggs, and in soups!

 As our temperatures drop and the days get longer, why not try a different coffee to perk you up? We'd like to recommend our Ethiopian coffee - a coffee with a strong bold flavor with a pleasant finish. Our selection is produced high in the mountains where water is available at harvest and the coffee cherries can be washed in water rather than being sun-dried like most Ethiopian coffees. The result is a much cleaner finish.

The day has helped put small business in the spotlight with its motto, "It's the day we all shop small."! In 2011, the U.S. Senate officially recognized Small Business Saturday. Thanks to aggressive media campaigns, last year more than $5.5 billion was spent to support local retailers on this day.
