Phase One of our Building Program is almost complete
Let's breakthrough together

We have encouraging news to share with you about the status of Phase One of the Synagogue building project, Operation Breakthrough, and what is ahead for Phase Two.

Last Shabbat we introduced  Operation Breakthrough. Thanks to all of you who have already generously responded.

Every month hundreds of people worship with us at our Shabbat services and participate in the many programs and activities of our congregation.

Our new synagogue is a beautiful home for Jewish people who love Yeshua, and who want to raise our families in a vibrant Jewish community that is filled with people - both Jews and Gentiles - who love Yeshua too.

If just 300 of us - young and old - would give $50 apiece, we would have exactly what we need to make the final payment to our contractors for Phase One.

This week, a number of you have given even more towards  Operation Breakthrough. Some of you are able to give hundreds, possibly thousands of dollars. And let's recall how Yeshua took note of the widow who gave her mite. She and her gift were very important to him. Everyone - young and old - will be able to give something to  Operation Breakthrough - of this I am confident.

"Each one should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7

My hope is that by the end of this weekend (Sunday, October 28) we will bring Phase One of our beautiful new sanctuary and synagogue to completion. How wonderful to bring to conclusion these past 22 months of planning and building!

After we make this final payment of $15,000 we will begin Phase Two - our exciting new Community Cafe and Fellowship Center.

Last Shabbat I shared some of the breakthroughs we have been experiencing as a congregation and community. If you were not able to join us, please listen to Friday night's podcast for an even bigger and better understanding of  Operation Breakthrough and all that is ahead.

"Each one should give..."

Your donation to Operation Breakthrough, above your tithes and regular giving, will enable us to bring Phase One to a conclusion.

By making this final payment a whole community event, it will be a wonderful way for everyone in our synagogue and circle of friends to take part in this effort to fulfill the scripture that has guided us:

"Let them build for Me a Sanctuary, that I may dwell among them." Exodus 25:8

May the Lord richly bless you as you give generously for Operation Breakthrough!

Love and shalom,

Rabbi David Levine

Phase Two: The Community Cafe and Fellowship Center
View from the Cafe Deck
CafeThe Community Café and Fellowship Center will be a beautiful setting for our Oneg Shabbat celebrations, holiday gatherings, as well as a great location for new ministry opportunities and fellowship times. We will have both indoor and outdoor seating and places to meet together.

We look forward to Phase Two being a community effort. Our plan is for all of us to work together on the financial needs, renovation and the expansion of ministry opportunities that the Community Café and Fellowship Center will offer.

The Community Café and Fellowship Center will be a great location to reach out to the thousands of students and faculty on our campus. We will be able to expand our ministries to college students, the elderly, the needy and Russian-speakers. We know, as we develop this space, that other new ministries will unfold.
