Happy Thanksgiving! Monika Pabon
November is the time of year when we give thanks for all that we have and for all that is yet to come. How can we be thankful for what we don't yet have?
The theme for the 2014 Symposium, "Leading the Change...Innovation Is in Our Nature" is about modernization, variation, and newness. It's wonderful to be excited about the future, but let us not forget about the present. Without the support of people that were here yesterday, paving the way for those of us today, none of the things we're doing would be possible.
Who is LWHRA 2014 Symposium grateful for:
- Our sponsor, Market Fresh Fruit
- Our luncheon keynote speaker, Jan Hargrave
- Our awesome presenters and the information they're bringing
- The lovely and accommodating Meydenbauer Center
- And so many more....
Claudia Vietzke Jorgenson, "This Thanksgiving I'm grateful for the great team of HR professionals that have devoted their time and energy to making sure that this year's symposium will be the best one yet! Thank you to Kim, Lizzie, Beth, Monika, Darcy, Angela, and Melissa -you make my job easy! And many thanks to Andrew - who keeps us all pointed in the right direction!"
Besides my family and friends, I have much to be thankful for this year. I am thankful for the connections, and the new colleagues and friendships I have formed since joining LWHRA. The leadership team of this organization has shown genuine solidarity, understanding the challenges we face in the HR profession. The quality of the connections I've made, by volunteering on the Symposium Committee, have become a part of the future that I will take with me, wherever my career path may lead.
Are you thankful for LWHRA? Are you thankful for the symposiums held each year where you can mingle, share, learn new ways to perform better, and achieve your personal and professional goals? Consider volunteering for the event by giving your time. We still need volunteers and sponsors so if you're interested in either of these, and want to show your appreciation, click here for more information.
We thank each and every member of our organization. One person does make a difference, many people make a bigger difference. Thank you!
