Lake Washington Institute of Technology's (LWIT) Society for Human Resource Management Student Chapter  has once again received the Superior Merit Award from the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) organization for 2012. Founded in 1949, LWIT offers affordable professional and technical training for today's job market. The LWIT-SHRM Student Chapter was honored for their "exceptional job of providing opportunities for growth and development to its student chapter members."

"Outstanding news for our chapter," says Greg Roberts, LWIT's Executive Director of Human Resources and the group's co-adviser with Ren'ee Mangini, SPHR, GPHR, lead faculty member, and HR program coordinator in the school's Human Resources Management program. "Ren'ee has worked very hard to get students involved in the chapter and aligning our chapter's activities and curriculum with SHRM."
