ARLINGTON, VA --
Last week the USA Rice Federation released its first quarterly Spanish newsletter targeting the trade in Central and South America to maintain and increase communication with vital trade contacts throughout the regions.

Contents include economic analysis, U.S. rice harvest updates, current U.S. rice export destinations, USA Rice promotional activities in the region, rice recipes, and other information.

"More than 20 percent of U.S. rice exports were destined for Central and South America in 2013, with more than 40 percent of all U.S. paddy exports going to these regions," said Sarah Moran, USA Rice director of International Promotion.  "Managing open communication with contacts is important to maintain U.S. rice exports and educate U.S. rice consumers."
