November 2014
Thank You - For Supporting Hounds for Heroes!

Our 1st annual
Hounds For Heroes Benefit
was a success!

Thanks to the generosity of all those who donated and participated, proceeds from the event exceeded $12,000 and will go entirely to the Hounds For Heroes program.

We know that when a veteran is partnered with a service dog, he or she will feel all the dedication and passion that all of us bring to the Hounds for Heroes program.

Proceeds from donations and funds raised

allow us to change a few more lives;

to give those who have served our country a chance

to have a service dog partner that has their back and provides comfort and support needed for

the service person to lead a full and happy life.

THANK YOU

Texas Book Festival 2014
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by our Austin Dog Alliance booth at Texas Book Festival!  We look forward to participating in the festival every year.  Our Bow Wow Reading Dog program is quite near and dear to our hearts.

Studies at UC Davis and Tufts have concluded that children involved in reading dog programs improve their reading scores, and retain their reading skills over the summer when involved in a summer reading program with reading dogs.

An extra special thanks to our volunteers and Bow Wow Reading Dogs who volunteered this weekend.  We couldn't do it without you!  Thank you for representing Austin Dog Alliance.
