Next Wednesday, October 9, I am excited about the opportunity to preach at a Houston-area evangelistic event sponsored by Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Fields of Faith, at Constellation Field/Skeeters Stadium in Sugar Land, 7:00 p.m.  KSBJ will be broadcasting live from the event; this will be a super opportunity for you to bring friends and family for some terrific music, powerful testimonies and a clear presentation of the Gospel!  I hope you can join us for a great evening of ministry to young people and adults who need Jesus!

Thank you so much for praying with us as God sent us to the mission field in Queimados, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil last month.  We met some wonderful new friends in ministry, and our partnership with Igreja Batista Nazare (IBN) brought great joy to my wife, Amy, my son, Steven, and me, as Pastor Marcelo and church and local leadership worked with us to reach more than three thousand people with the Good News of Christ.  

Though our outreach projects, we were able to:  

• present the Gospel and preach God's Word to 3,915 people.
• pray with 1,322 people to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
• lead 680 people in prayer as they renewed their commitment to be witnesses for Christ in their communities.  
• educate students about drug and alcohol abuse, sexual immorality, AIDS, and social and moral values through 28 school programs in 16 schools.  
• minister to God's people in 6 church services, training conference meetings, and evangelistic outreach programs at a local hospital, a drug rehabilitation center, and a dump!  
• distribute 6,500 salvation tracts in Portuguese and English.
• distribute 20 ESV New Testament Bibles.  
• distribute 20 Bible Study/Discipleship lessons.
• establish a new partnership with IBN to help with the ongoing support of one of our NEST evangelists in Africa.
