Judicial Performance Evaluation Survey - Phase II

The NCBA is conducting its bi-annual Judicial Performance Evaluation using a confidential survey of lawyers to evaluate NC Superior and District Court judges. You should have received an e-mail recently with a link to complete the survey. Your participation will take only a few minutes and will provide important value to the public via the JPE website www.ElectNCJudges.org.

Join us for a panel discussion with local Superior and District Court Judges who regularly preside in civil court. Panel participants include Hon. Forrest D. Bridges, Hon. Robert C. Ervin, Hon. Calvin E. Murphy, Hon. Donnie Hoover and Hon. Becky Tin, with an introduction to the TCA's Office from Meredith Davis. The panel will be moderated by Hon. Rickye McKoy-Mitchell.  Other panelists "to be announced".

4-5-14 YLD Habitat for Humanity House Build Project

The MCB recently enhanced its direct case placement pro bono program and volunteer attorneys are needed. We are working in conjunction with Legal Aid of NC and Legal Services of Southern Piedmont to assist those clients they are unable to serve. Cases will be assigned on a rotation basis depending upon the area(s) of law for which you register. The time commitment could be as little as one to two cases a year. Areas for which attorneys are needed immediately are family law, landlord/tenant, foreclosure and bankruptcy.
