Proposed Amendment of the MCB By-Laws
At the Annual Meeting on May 23, 2013, the membership will vote on the amendment of the MCB By-Laws. The proposed amendment is recommended to the membership by the unanimous vote of the Board of Directors at its February 28, 2013 meeting.

 

MCB Lawyer Referral Service - Spring Membership Special

Beginning April 1, $200 entitles you to an LRS membership through June 30, 2014!  The MCB Lawyer Referral Service, serving the citizens of the Mecklenburg, matches people who need a lawyer and can afford to pay legal fees with a qualified attorney licensed to practice law in the state of North Carolina.

The Mecklenburg Bar News has been converted to a more friendly online/mobile/tablet version.

Courts' Corner: Hon. Regan A. Miller Appointed as Chief District Court Judge
Hon. Sarah Parker, Chief Justice of the NC Supreme Court, appointed Hon. Regan A. Miller as Chief District Court Judge for Judicial District 26 to succeed Judge Lisa C. Bell, who has been appointed Special Superior Court Judge.

The April 30th deadline to register your child for Court Camp is quickly approaching! Session I is full, but spaces are still available in Session II, Session III, and Session IV. Register your child today to make sure they have an opportunity to participate in this unique experience!

The Trial Court Administrator's Office welcomes Elizabeth Wilhelm as the new Lead Jury Coordinator. Elizabeth will be responsible for the direct management of jury operations in Mecklenburg County.
