This year the uniform package includes:

 

3 jerseys

Gamers workout shirt (undershirt)

Helmet

Hat

Bag (select either backpack or player bag.  Catchers get catchers bag)

2 pairs socks

Belt

 

In the past, we have provided 2 pants with the uniform package. However, my personal survey of pants last year showed less than 50% of players were actually wearing the pants that we provided.  This ranged from 75% at younger ages to 10% at older ages.  This is because ... the Mizuno pants "fit", player preference, torn/ripped pants, laundry, etc...  

 

Also -- three jerseys with only two pants automatically creates a laundry issue during a 3 day tournament. 

 

In the past, the 2 pairs of pants ran about $50-60 per player.  This year we reallocated this money that we spent on pants to:

 

- upgraded jerseys

- upgraded bags

- additional coaching at summer day practices

 

From a program standpoint, it is a better investment than buying pants that do not get worn.

 

So, your son can were any brand of all white game pants -- no pinstripes or piping.  All white.  They can be short/long, elastic/open.  But the pants can only come to top of shoe -- not over the top of the shoe.   Manny Ramirez is gone.

 

Johnny Mac's has provided an online team store to order game pants and other items like spikes/rubber cleats, Evoshield Gear, wood bats and other items.

The store will be open all year, but orders will be fulfilled on a rolling 2 week basis.  You also have the option to get the order shipped to your house for an additional shipping charge.

 

The pants being offered by J Macs are close to the team price points and a little higher quality pant from Rawlings and Underarmour.  The pants are "stock" items and should be readily available to order and replace.

 

The overall pricing on this J Mac's site is roughly 15-20% below retail pricing and is equivalent to team pricing. Your Gamers 10% discount on all Johnny Mac's retail purchases does not apply to this online purchase since the prices are already discounted.

 

A reminder on Game uniform policies:

 

- No baggy pants or pants over the top of spikes

- Only royal undershirts showing under uniform -- long sleeve or short sleeve

- Black spikes/cleats.  White or gray trim is OK.  Primary color needs to be black.  No royal trim.
