Winning at All Costs   Gamers coaches and directors are very competitive, driven people.  We care a lot about success.  And, we care about teaching players how to be successful.  Winning is not our only definition of success.  We would rather lose a game that we played very well in, compared to winning a game in which we played poorly.   We care about winning, but we are not a "win at all cost" program, meaning: Practice and development will not be sacrificed to winPlayers' physical health will not be put into jeopardyStyle of play (playing the game the right way) will not be sacrificed to winIndividual players self-confidence or passion for the game will be not sacrificed to win
If we play the right level of competition, our teams should win between 50-75% of games.  That is a comfortable range.  Sometimes you learn more from losing than you do from winning.    Our focus is on teaching players how to win.  And, we have a very simple formula for that which will be covered in next post.
