15u-17u Gamers & Parents,

As high school baseball approaches, we are finalizing our travel plans for the summer.   This is a long email regarding travel.  Please read it carefully -- sorry about the length.

In town tournaments are in blue.  Out of town in yellow.  Bus trips are in red (parents not required travel at all).

Please make sure that you are looking at the right schedule for your team.

At this point we need you to do 2 things:

1. Let us know if you are requesting a flex weekend during the summer.  

Flex weekends allow for players to take a weekend off during the summer for family, or other high priority conflicts.  We play every weekend during the sumer.  But, if we know in advance that you need to miss a weekend, we can usually adjust around it.

To do this, please  send an email to your head coach identifying if you want a flex weekend.  Flex weekends will be granted on first come basis.  No more than 2 players per weekend per team, and no more than one player at a given position.   

Please note that less than 1/2 the players normally take a flex weekend during the summer.

All flex weekend requests are due by April 1st to your head coach.

2. Let us know if your son needs to stay in a team room during a particular trip.  During any given weekend, 4-8 players per team will stay in a "team room(s)", located next to the coaches' rooms.  This is for players whose parents are not making the trip.   The players ride to the tournament with other families or with coaches.    

We need to know, in advance, which nights/tournaments you will be needing a team room.  The cost of the team rooms will be $50 per night, paid in advance.  The actual room charge will be paid directly by the Gamers.   Most tournaments will be 3 nights in the hotel -- Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

We have gone to a flat rate per night for the team room because of the administrative challenge of keeping up with this.  Sometimes it will be 2 players per room, other times it is 3-4 players per room. It gets too complicated to manage it day by day. 

So, if you need to stay in a team room, we need to know which night.  We need a check for # nights x $50.  Please make the check out to St. Louis Gamers.  You must pay for the team room in advance.

Lauree will make sure that you have a team room assignment on the days you requested.  Please get this to Lauree by April 15th. 

Please note that on bus trips (Nashville plus one other for each age group), ALL the players will be staying in teams rooms.  The cost of these bus trips will be $300 per trip.  More details to follow on this.

We are finalizing all of the hotel accommodations for the summer, including the East Cobb tournament.  In the 2 weeks, we will send out an email letting you know when and how to make your individual hotel reservations for the summer.
