Hi,
This is our 6th year of fitness testing. It is now a science. We know what to expect and what players need to do to improve athleticism and baseball numbers. If you participate in our offseason baseball program and a challenging performance training regimen, you will improve and achieve your goals.
FOCUS + EFFORT + PASSION => RESULTS
Our 2014 players are great role models for this. They have turned themselves into an exceptional group of athletes and baseball players. But, each of them still has work to do.
Here is what you need to do with these results:
- Compare yourself to the average and best for your age group
- Compare yourself to the next older age group (where you need to be in one year)
- Adjust your workout schedule accordingly. If you need to add strength, then focus your lifting program on this. If you need to add speed, work on this.
Your goal should be top 25% in your strongest areas, and at least average in your weakest areas. Pretty simple.
For 14 year old players, you have 3 years to get there. But, you need to get started now. For 17u players, the time frame is a lot shorter.
Here are the general goals for offseason training:
- Reduce 40 time by 0.10 - 0.20 seconds
- Reduce Pro Agility time by 0.10-0.20 seconds
- Add 3-7mph throwing velocity
- Add 4-8mph bat speed
- Bench 25 more lbs
- Squat 50 more lbs.
Based on the November testing results....
Top 7 overall athletes by age group (top 25% roughly):
17u - Monti, Dallas, Pohle, Canterbury, Tanner, Hicks, Corbett
16u - Mantle, Buschjost, Haring, Gordley, Schaeffer, Hornsey, Hipp
15u - Knernschield, Miller, Vuylsteke, Heath, Purcell, Jennings, St. John
14u - Theiss, Hegeman, Riney, Vierling, Bischoff, Kelly, Panzitta
Here are the results, by age group, for each test:

Please let me know if you questions.
To our knowledge, no other youth baseball program in the country does this type of testing and training. We do it because we think it is important. Please take advantage of this information.
Let me know if you have questions,
