Emerald Ash Borer Awareness Week | |
As a Village we are working to diversify our urban forest and remove ash trees that are showing signs of decay. This work is being done to reduce the effects of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). Although EAB has not been confirmed in Bayside, it has been confirmed in many communities around us.
You can help slow the spread of EAB by following these steps :
- Do not move firewood out of quarantined Counties. Quarantined Counties include Brown, Crawford, Kenosha, La Crosse, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Trempealeau, Vernon, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha, Fond du Lac and Sheboygan
- Buy firewood near camp sites instead of bringing it from home, or buy it from a state-certified firewood vendor.
- Learn about the signs of EAB infestation.
- Report ash trees that show signs of infestation by calling the EAB hotline toll-free at 1-800-462-2803 or emailing DATCPemeraldashborer@wi.gov.

Considering installing a fence but you are not sure what is allowed? Working on new additions to your home? For any project you are working on this summer you can see the Village's regulations in the Municipal Code. The Code is searchable so you can type in keywords and be directed to sections that will apply to your project. |
