New for 2013: Mattress Recycling and Bicycle Donation
The first Clean Up day of 2013 is just eleven days away, on April 20 from 10 am until 3 pm. As always, we will be accepting garbage, recycling, electronics, paint, scrap metal, documents for shredding, and donations for Goodwill. However, the Village is pleased to announce that new for this year there will be stations for mattress set recycling and bicycle donation.
As a single mattress can take up to 23 cubic feet, this is a great opportunity to ensure your old mattress won't place extra strain on already crowded landfills. Bicycles brought to Clean Day will also go to good use. They will be donated to Dream Bikes, which then provides them to underprivileged individuals. By bringing your old bed sets and bikes on April 20, you can be assured your spring cleaning will both clear up some extra space around your home, contribute to environmental sustainability, and benefit others.
In order to participate, please bring either

non-perishable food items for the Hunger Task Force or a monetary dontion for the Make a Wish Foundation.
