So Call Me
| |
The Village's Communication Center, Police Department and North Shore Fire Department want to remind residents to make the right call. In that light, we're sharing a recent video released by the City of Tampa that has some fun, and also helps send a message.
As a reminder, Bayside's non-emergency public safety number is 414-351-8800. As always, if you're experiencing an emergency, be sure to dial 911. What do you think, are there any Bayside Police officers or firefighters that could put together their own parody video? |
Sendiks Changing Hands
|
As reported yesterday, Bayside Sendiks is changing ownership, and residents will soon be seeing the famous red bag. Sendiks owner Ted Balistreri announced Thursday that his branch of the Sendik's markets will partner with Devo Properties of Mequon to purchase the entire shopping corridor from Sendik's gas pumps east to Mohawk Road.
"Brown Deer Road and Port Washington Road is the most visible and highly trafficked intersection in the village," Bayside Village Manager Andy Pederson said. "We are pleased that the Sendik's operation, albeit different ownership, will continue to operate and serve the area, continuing to be a foundation in the Bayside community."
The purchase includes the building at 326 W. Brown Deer Road, which currently is home to Community Bark Dog Wash and Coffee Bar, Kurth Chiropractic and Great Lakes Foot and Ankle Center. Plans for renovation are currently underway, with interior remodeling planned after the first of the year.

Home Values & Taxes | |
Tax bills for both Milwaukee and Ozaukee Counties are now in homes. Full payment or the first installment is due by January 31, 2013.
There have been a few questions relating to tax bills, with regard to home values and the effect on taxes. Bayside staff can only help answer questions with regard to the Village tax levy. As with all tax payers in Wisconsin, residents bills are made of up several taxing jurisdictions, all of which account for the overall bill. To help better understand your tax bill, the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance released a helpful example to breakdown how, and why your tax bill is calculated.
While you'll be making your payment to the Village of Bayside, nearly 75% is then reallocated to the remaining taxing jurisdictions. If you have any questions relating to your tax bill, please contact Lynn Galyardt at Village Hall at 351-8812.
