My Brothers,
Fall is definitely in the air. Its that time when we all start thinking about family and friends and begin working on travel plans to be with those we care about. I want everyone to be safe in your travels and to enjoy the time you will spend with those that are special in your lives.
We also start thinking about all the great food we will share together over the next few weeks. Please take this opportunity to think of those that are less fortunate and that will be spending the holidays alone or with little or no food. Take a moment, go through your cabinets & cupboards, pull out a can or two or some dry goods and bring them to the lodge TONIGHT so that we can deliver them to Second Harvest before thanksgiving.
We've had quite a bit going on at the lodge lately and its good to see those that come out and show their support and offer help. I really want to thank our newest Master Masons and our new Fellow Craft for the effort they are putting forth for the lodge.
Our final BBQ of the year was a success! The food was great as usual and we saw some faces we have not seen in a while. We cooked 200 lbs of chicken, 160 pounds of pork and 110 pounds of brisket! I will have the final numbers to present during the committee reports at tonights meeting. Our adopt a precinct polling station was in full swing for the election. We processed 1,116 voters. It was a long but fun day as we all worked together to not only perform a needed service but to earn a little money for the lodge. Mark your calendars now! November 17th, 9am to 3pm will be our rummage / craft / bake sale. There are two ways to participate. The first way would be to donate your gently used items to the lodge. These will be sold and the lodge will keep the entire profit. The second way would be to borrow a table from the lodge and sell your own items, crafts or baked goods. We are not asking for any money to borrow a table. All we ask is that you remember this is a fund raiser for the lodge. If you do make some money at the event, please be as generous as you can and share. For example, my wife and I are going to have several tables (rummage and crafts) and we plan to donate a flat fee for borrowing a table and a percentage of any profits. This way, if, for some odd reason, you don't make money, you'r not out anything. This event is open to any brother, lodge or masonically affiliated group in the district. You can have a table as a group or individually. Please let us know by 5pm Nov. 15th if you want a table or two so that we can plan the layout. December 1st will be the first annual Youth Holiday Party. This event is a thank you to all of the youth groups in our district and the adults that help with the day to day working of them. Please try and attend to show how much we support what they do! Watch your emails for more details in the upcoming weeks. REMINDER, we will be dark for our next stated communication due to the thanksgiving holiday! And lastly, just something to remember. We are all human and therefore will have differences, disagreements and our own opinions and, despite these things, its great to see everyone working together for the betterment of the lodge, freemasonry and our selves. | |
I look forward to seeing you all at the lodge and, as always, if you have any questions, comments or suggestions please don't hesitate to let me know. You can reply to this email.

Brothers,
I want to thank all of you who came out and supported our Fall BBQ. It was a successful event and, given the circumstances of our June event, I was glad to see the re-start of this tradition come off without any issues. We learned a lot about the food handling process, how we can improve on what we have been doing to make things better. I received many compliments on the flavor and quality of the food, especially the Brisket, which I hope we will continue to have on the menu for the future.
Thanks also to the brothers, wives, moms and aunts of brothers who came by and helped out with the event. I would like to especially call out two brothers for their effort: Tom Fair and or Sr. Warden, Michael Diaz. Tom came by early in the day on Friday and took care of the bathrooms for me, which was an unexpected surprise and one that I really appreciated. Michael spent most of the day on Friday pressure washing the grill area and cleaning the BBQ prep room, from top to bottom; then, after a bit of a rest, came back up to the Lodge to help with the overnight cooking. I must say that the BBQ prep room has has not looked better in the 3+ years I have been coming to the Lodge. I really appreciated the effort, Michael - It meant a lot to have you there. Menu for the month will be Fajita night on 11/7. No meeting on 11/21 as we will be dark that night due to the Thanksgiving holiday. We will be having breakfast on 11/24 from 8:30-11:00.
Fraternally,

My Fellow Poll Workers !!!!!!! ( I bet You think this political). I want to THANK every one for the wonderful job that you did yesterday at the polls . We made some changes that helped out quite a bit, We learned what a full house means and how easy it gets when we all work together. I was told by the Poll Watcher that he has never seen a polling place run so smooth with all the problems that we had.
Again I Thank all of you for the support that you gave me.
Sincerely , Don
