Brothers & Friends,
Another Grand Lodge session has come and gone. Your 3 primary officers attended and voted in accordance with the craft's wishes. All the resolutions were either passed or failed as the jurisprudence committee recommended. Be aware that an "emergency" resolution was brought up before the delegates to raise the per-capita tax from the current $14 to $22. This same resolution would have made an automatic change to each particular lodge's by-laws to add the tax "in addition to" the dues. This means that if passed, your dues would go from $120 to $142. The resolution DID NOT pass so there will be no per-capita tax increase this year. Just be aware that they WILL try to get it passed in the future one way or another.
As you know, our 2nd BBQ is right around the corner on the 9th. Our Junior Warden is working very hard to make this a great event. We will be having a silent auction during the BBQ with some great items to be auctioned off including Disney Tickets, jewelry, hand made baby blankets, etc. There is also still time to DONATE some items for the auction. If you wish to make a donation please contact me ASAP.
Pegram Hall is progressing nicely. The ceiling has been completely rewired and is ready to go. The next task will be cleaning the ceiling tiles, vents and fans, adding the light kits to the fans and installing the "washes" for the murals. We will be having a "fund-raising" dinner to help offset the cost of materials for these upgrades. More information will be made available as we work out the details. Of course, anyone can make a donation at any time. Just click the DONATE button on the left. Just add a note to specify where you would like your donation applied.
Lastly, If you haven't been to lodge in a while (and I know most of you haven't) now is the time. Your officers and I are making great efforts to make the lodge a more inviting place to enjoy a nice dinner with some great fellowship. Whatever your reason for staying away, I ask that you make every effort to make it back to lodge and see what you have been missing. If you have any questions or if I can help in any way please let me know. If you don't ask, we cannot help!

Dear Brothers,
First and foremost, let me say thank you to those brothers who attended Grand Lodge. It being my first, I was very impressed and it was great to see the brothers there. As you know our BBQ is coming up. I hope to see all the brothers there and not just the usual crew, but those faces that haven't been seen in a while. Your help is always needed and appreciated for a successful BBQ. Let us all remember that when we all come together not one man does everything. Also, this event is not open to just the brothers, but to all our family and friends. As always, I'd like to thank all those who've supported myself and the officers this year. Without it we could accomplish nothing.

Brothers,
We are getting ready for our June BBQ which will take place on June 9th from Noon 5:00 pm at the Lodge. We will again have Brisket on the menu. I apologize for the lateness in your tickets getting to you but we had some logistical issues sending them out. We will be having a work call June 2nd from 8:00 a.m. until we are done getting the Lodge building ready for the BBQ and the OES's official visit. Come on out and spend some time with your brothers and help us get ready by cleaning the kitchen and Pegram Hall and getting the BBQ room and Grill areas straightened up. Looking forward to seeing you at the Lodge for both Saturdays. We will not be having the Family Breakfast this month as that 4th Saturday coincides with the St. John's Day festivities at Winter Park Lodge. Breakfasts will resume in July.
Since we will not be having breakfast, we will be having Breakfast for Dinner for the meeting on June 6th. We will be having Scrambled Eggs, Sausage Gravy and Biscuits, Bacon, Sausage, and Belgian Waffles. For the meeting on June 20th, we will be having Sweet N Sour Chicken and Jasmine Rice.
We will also be having dinner on June 13th at 7:00 as part of the Master Mason Degree that we will are having that night. Menu is not decided on yet but the food will be good as will the Degree. Come out and see our three Fellowcrafts get raised as Master Masons!
Fraternally,
