My Brothers, Since this is my last Trestle Board message to you I would like to start by thanking all the Past Masters, Officers and Brothers of Pine Castle Lodge for your support during the year and for making my year a great one. I have enjoyed my time in the East and look forward to helping the upcoming officers as a Past Master. Although this is December it is still a busy month. On the 4th of December there will be a Rainbow meeting at the Lodge. On the 5th OES will be having a meeting as well. On the 7th of December there will be a very important meeting at Pine Castle which means the election of YOUR Officers for 2012. Come out and make your vote count. On December 9th Scottish Rite will be having there Holiday at the Scottish Rite Temple in Winter Park. On the 14th of December we will be having a Fellowcraft Degree with five going through including one Brother from Winter Garden Lodge. Masters & Wardens will be held on the 17th of December at South Seminole Lodge, breakfast at 8:00 AM and the Meeting at 9:00 AM. There will be two elections, one for Master & Wardens and one for Memorial Lodge, both will be for the Officers for 2012, come out and vote if you are a member of Master & Wardens as well as the Memorial Lodge. On the 18th Rainbow girls will meet at Pine Castle. On the 19th OES will also be meeting at the Lodge. On the 23rd the Scottish Rite will be having there Extravaganza. December 25th is, of course, Christmas. In January there will be a Master Mason degree on the 3rd. On January 7th we will be installing your new officers for 2012. Please join us and start the year right.

Brothers, First, an update on the Paper Recycle bin. We received a notice from the City of Belle Isle that our bin was in violation of city code. We had two options, either place the bin in a 3 sided structure to shield it from public view OR remove it. Obviously shielding it from view defeats the purpose of a community recycle bin so, after VERY LITTLE discussion, we voted to remove it. I was a little disappointed by this. I had hoped to at least discuss the issue with Belle Isle and try to work it out. This project provided both a community service AND made money for the lodge.
I am now on the lookout for a new community service project. If we can find one that also makes us some money that would be a bonus but its not a requirement. We are doing the food drive but it's not very public and could use some attention and direction. If anyone has any ideas for new projects, knows of old projects we can revive or would like to help with the food drive, please let me know.
and lastly, I would like to say thank you to all the brothers that supported me this year. I had a productive year and, with your continued support plan to do even more so in the coming year. I am planning some great events that I hope will get more brothers AND THEIR FAMILIES back to and involved with the lodge.
Have a safe holiday season and a happy new year! Sincerely,
|

Brothers, Thanks to all who helped to make our jewelry and candy for the Fall Festival. We still have some boxes of candy (mice) available for $3.00 per box of 6. They will be out at the Lodge and Star meetings for you to buy. December 4th we will, hopefully, go to Grandma's House then have our Christmas Party at Mom Norma's house. December 21st, we will prepare and serve dinner before the Lodge meeting. This is to thank the Lodge for sponsoring and supporting us. Thank you, we appreciate all you do for us! We will meet again on January 15th. See you all next year! Thanks,

My Brothers & Sisters, Thank you all for a successful Fall Festival! The spaghetti dinner was excellent, as usual, thank you Peggy. December 5th is E.S.T.A.R.L. and we will also be honoring Brother Burt Brim, Past Grand Patron. There will be a covered dish supper at 6:30 PM, so bring your favorite casserole and enjoy the fellowship. December 15th is friendship night at St Cloud Chapter. We are sending Associate Matron, Associate Patron, Adah, Esther and Warder. We will be honoring co-workers on December 19th.
Be sure to mark you calendar on December 11th. That is our Christmas Party to be held at Norma's house in St Cloud at 4PM. Please bring a covered dish.
Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah and a safe, healthy and prosperous New Year.
In Star Love,
