At our last meeting RW Bob Morrow requested to talk to the Lodge about The Fraternal Mutual Disaster Relief Association which is a Shared Risk Pool. The purpose is to provide affordable property coverage in the event of a loss. It is not an insurance. RW Bob will be at the Lodge with his partner August 17th to talk to the Lodge. Please attend this meeting so we can all be well informed about Lodge property coverage!

The DDGM's visit is scheduled for August 3rd. We will have a dinner at 6:30 PM prior to his visit. Please come out and support our new DDGM J. Steven Teal as well as your Lodge.

This month's Masters & Wardens Meeting will be at Composite Lodge August 6, breakfast at 8:00 AM and meeting at 9:00 AM. Come find out what is happening in your 17th Masonic District, hope to see you there.

On the 21st of August the Rob Morris Picnic which will be held at PineCastle Lodge at 2:30 PM. This is a big event for the OES at Pine Castle, come out and help your OES chapter.

On the 27th of August we will have our Family Breakfast at the Lodge from 8:00 AM-10:00 AM, $5.00 for all you can eat, a great cost for a great meal. Also that day is "Open Books" at Winter Park Lodge from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, come to Breakfast and then gain knowledge at "Open Books". Please try to attend as many events in August as you can.

Best Regards,

From the West
Trey Rapp, Senior WardenBrothers,

We had a great Fellow Craft Degree on the 27th of July. We passed 5 brothers, 3 from Winter Garden Lodge and 2 of our own. Brothers Dennis Cangro and Alfonso Gonzalez are ready and excited to start on their catechisms. Brother Zeb Olinger sat in the East for the first time and did a great job. The lecture was presented by Brother Donald Goolsby, Senior Deacon from St. Cloud Lodge. This was Brother Goolsby's first time as well and he did an outstanding job.

I am looking into getting the lodge participating in the Child ID program. It is my understanding that we were involved at one time and we still have some of the "stuff" needed.  If those brothers that know anything about that can get with me that would be awesome. Along those same lines, if any brothers are interested in helping with the booth at lodge events (bbq's, oes functions, parties, etc) please get with me as well. This is a great program and will be a great way to help out parents and children as well as get involved with the community.

And, last but not least, any brothers with old books, magazines, dvd's cd's etc. laying around the house that might be good reading material for the other brothers (like old scottish rite magazines) please consider bringing them to lodge and donating to the library. Let me know when you do so I can get them put in right place.

Sincerely,
Trey Rapp, Senior Warden

Michael Diaz, Junior WardenMy Brothers,

As you know, the DDGM's Official visit is our next stated communication. I am planning an "Italian Night" for dinner which will consist of various pasta dishes, bread, and other traditional Italian fare. I hope you plan on joining us for a special evening with the DDGM.

Thanks,

Rainbow Assembly #6

Grand Assembly was great! Pine Castle Assembly had 8 girls and 2 adults attending. After we finally got into our rooms, ones that had no leaks, we were ready to have fun. We brought a girl to be initiated, Elaine McKinzie. Lindsey sang in the choir, Amber was a page at large and Brittani and Misha were personal pages. And, of course, our Grand Officers, Heather, Grand Recorder and Colleen, Grand Editor. Tatiana was on the banner judging committee, and our banner won second place! She did not judge ours. On Sunday, Aunt Lori received the Service to Rainbow award and Colleen received Grand Cross. These are service awards for outstanding service to Rainbow.  Congratulations to both!  Colleen also received a scholarship. And we now have two more Grandies.  Brittani is Grand Representative to Texas and Vermont and Tatiana is Grand Representative to New Hampshire and Nevada.

We are growing.  We will be initiating 1 maybe 2 girls this fall.  If you have a daughter or granddaughter 11 years old, please encourage her to join us. As always, thank you for your love and support.
