Brothers,
December and the end of the year are here (finally!).
I would like to acknowledge and thank the various brothers who have made this year very special.
My appreciation and thanks to WM Ian Roache and the brothers of Lodge Forfar & Kincardin #235 of Dundee, Scotland. Their extraordinary efforts and expense to bring Scottish Masonry to Pine Castle was....well....extraordinary. They are a superior group of brothers that we are fortunate to be associated with.
My appreciation also goes out to PDDGM Chet King and PGM Dale Gohring for their "extraordinary" assistance in the installation and other issues that came up this year.
I also have great thanks to Bro. Richard Leonard, whose hat I proudly wore through the year and for whose advice and council I have had the privilege to share.
Our thanks go out to:
Our Senior Deacon Bro. Mike Diaz, who has performed in his appointment in the most professional manner.
Bro. Chris Benetiz, our Jr. Deacon who, despite health and work related obstacles, continued to support Pine Castle in both this chair and food drive work
Bro. Trey Rapp, for his tremendous contributions on the web site and e communications.
Bro. John Miles, who was very involved in the degree work this year as well as running our jewelry counter.
Bro. Tom Kinsela, "The Best Dressed Mason" we've had all year and regular at the family breakfast work crew.
Bro. Francois Mignon, our lights and music officer (with Bro. Rich) who brought to us an entirely new experience with his very extensive catalog of diverse music. He also has impeccable timing...putting the right tune to the right occasion. I believe he has a surprise for us at our final meeting for this year!
Bro. Dave Rohr, who despite his challenges, continued to serve the brothers this year with the best of intentions, a good heart and great food!
Our thanks to the wonderful efforts of our elected officers:
Our Senior Warden, Bro. Randy White, who has my most sincere admiration and respect, and has done a Herculean job this year in keeping us in touch and up to date with the district activities.
Our Junior Warden, Bro. Art Johnson, who transformed the kitchen and "dining" experience to something that the brothers have had the great pleasure of enjoying all year long. I love ya Art!
Our Treasurer: Bro. Jim (JG / Jimbo) Guest, who has called an attention to detail that has saved our lodge thousands of dollars in the future. Thanks for taking the job Jim!
Our Secretary....the man behind the curtain... who spends most of his days and nights at the lodge pulling all those switches and turning all those dials...whose influence so greatly affects any success the Worshipful Master has in accomplishing his goals......
We thank PDDGM Bro. Burt Brim.
And our special thanks go out to the Worthy Matron Cecilia Hemphill and all of the ladies of the Eastern Star for your kindness, assistance & financial support throughout this year.
