Open Health Wins Bronze Stevie Award for Best New Business Product of the Year

Open Health was named a Bronze Stevie Award Winner for Best New Business Product or Service of the Year in the 12th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business. The award was presented to Shardell Cavaliere, President of Cast & Crew Life Services and the driving force behind the development of Open Health.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for "crowned," the awards were presented to winners during a November 13, 2015, dinner event attended by more than 400 people at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees and the companies they run - worldwide. Recognized as the world's premier business award, thousands of nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 90 categories.

"We are honored to have been recognized by the Stevie Awards organization and proud that Open Health won an award for Best New Business Product," said Cavaliere. "In just over a year, we have been able to provide more than 10,000 participants with access to affordable health coverage--something the entertainment industry had never experienced before--and are even more excited to see what we can accomplish in 2016."

Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 160 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process this year.

"We are again humbled by the accomplishments of so many high-achieving women in this program," said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of the Stevie Awards. "Their work is an inspiration to girls and women around the world who dream of starting and growing a business, managing a leading company, or improving their community. We congratulate all of this year's Grand, Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Awards winners."

 A Look Back at 2015
As the year winds down, we would like to take a moment to look back on what has been a tremendous year of growth for Open Health. We are so thankful for all our partners in contributing to our development. We are proud to announce that Open Health now has more than 10,000 participants in the Plan, and we continue to grow!

As everyone gears up to celebrate this holiday season, we have some gifts in store to share with employers and employees:
  • No rate increase for 2016: We experienced no rate increase in insurance costs for the upcoming year--this is almost unheard of in the industry and a major achievement.
  • Increased HMO network: Open Health is increasing its PBE basic HMO network from Priority Select to Select. This change provides employees with broader access to a larger network of physicians and healthcare providers.
  • New offerings for employees: We are also offering a new PBE HMO plan that gives employees the option of a lower deductible and co-pay plan--and includes access to the full network. This plan provides employees with the broadest network offered by Anthem, including Cedars-Sinai, UCLA and Scripps medical centers.
There is one huge contribution that makes all of this possible - your feedback. We greatly appreciate your comments, and thank you for all of your thoughtful input. Please continue to share your insights with us, as they're key to helping us develop and evolve our offerings to best fit your needs.

Finally, we want to wish you a wonderful holiday season - one that you can enjoy with family and friends. Open Health was designed to take care of year-end reporting so you can sit back, relax and celebrate this special time of year.

Happy Holidays from Open Health!

From our Open Health family to yours - we wish you a wonderful and safe holiday season filled with health and happiness!

The Entertainment Industry's Most Valuable Asset is its Workers

It's no secret that entertainment professionals and production workers make up a unique industry with inconsistent work, late hours and extended travel away from home. With this in mind, one of the most valuable services for the entertainment industry is an exclusive and affordable suite of life-balance products, services and benefits.

Keep your eyes and ears open for more work/life balance offerings exclusively for entertainment industry professionals.

About Open Health

Open Health provides employers with large-group pricing and benefits superior to market-based coverage that can be obtained elsewhere. The Plan's fee structure is based on a percentage of gross wages.

Coverage is provided through Anthem Blue Cross and includes HMO/PPO options as well as optional dental, vision and life.

Enrolled individuals will have access to the largest national network in the country, with more than 900,000 providers. Anthem members, moreover, have access to more than 90 percent of hospitals and 90 percent of physicians nationwide - more than any other insurer.
