House Bill 97 amended the North Carolina film production incentive program as follows:
  • Provides for a per fiscal year cap of $30M for the 2016 and 2017 fiscal years (July 1 - June 30);
  • Increases minimum spend per episode of a television series from $250,000 to $1M per episode;
  • Increases the single season incentive cap for a television series from $5M to $9M; and,
  • Expands the definition of production to include made-for-television movies and on-line productions.
