Helping Our World Work Better
You may have noticed eNews has a new look. That's because ASTM has introduced its new brand identity to the world. Central to the brand is the new purpose statement, 'Helping our world work better.' The statement articulates succinctly why ASTM exists as well as its primary ambition. It states how we engage with our stakeholders to help them solve problems through collaboration, it emphasizes our international reach, and it expresses continuous improvement of the products and services we all use every day. The new branding includes a slightly modified logo, and is being applied across the ASTM website, Standardization News, our social media platforms and all collateral materials. More
ASTM Announces Leadership Succession Plan
Through a unanimous decision, the ASTM board of directors has enthusiastically announced that Katharine Morgan, current vice president of technical committee operations, will succeed ASTM President James A. Thomas. Morgan came to ASTM in 1984 as a staff manager and soon took on roles of increasing responsibility in standards development, rising to her current post in 2007. To ensure a smooth transition for ASTM's members and customers, Morgan will assume the role of ASTM executive vice president on March 1, 2015. She will work closely with Jim Thomas during a time of transition until his retirement on Feb. 1, 2017. More
