DID YOU KNOW? . . . Asset Management
ASTM International Committee E53 has a new name. The former Property Management Systems Committee has been renamed E53 on Asset Management. Along with the name change comes an updated scope - "the development, maintenance and dissemination of standard practices and performance standards for asset management systems and the lifecycle management of personal property assets." Formed in 2000, the committee includes property professionals from all entities, including commercial, non-profit, education, and federal, state and local governments, and often collaborates with the National Property Management Association (NPMA). Over 200 members from more than 50 national and international companies are represented in the membership of E53, which includes subcommittees on process management, data management, financial management, reutilization and disposal, and sustainable property management. For more information on this growing committee, visit www.astm.org/COMMIT/E53.
