My most popular garment pattern to date is Jacket Express. I created this pattern simply because a favorite ready-to-wear jacket was becoming threadbear and it was a staple of my traveling wardrobe. It can be dressed up or dressed down, it works in any climate and it travels well. What more could a person want in a jacket? So I set out to create a similar pattern with a few tweaks and Jacket Express was born.
"Express" patterns in the Islander Sewing System's line are defined by a faster order of construction. Taking less steps from sewing machine to iron and back again makes our "Express" patterns even more enjoyable to make.
When I released Jacket Express I had no idea how many people would not only want to make this jacket but wanted to make several. Below you will see just a few of my Craftsy students who proudly posted their finished projects. To see and be inspired by over 200 posted on Craftsy click this link: Craftsy Class Photos.
