An avid fan of Blues music, Lorna Rae of Kingston, Ontario, Canada, attends several Blues Festivals every year. When she heard about the IPCA contest, Party Like a Rock Star, Lorna employed her sewing and dyeing skills to create this fabulous linen shirt. First she stitched a resist pattern on the linen that duplicates music notes and a saxophone. Next she dipped the fabric several times in Indigo to achieve the lovely summer denim blue hue. Using the Islander Sewing Systems pattern, Women's Classic Sport Shirt was the next step as she sewed this shirt without the use of any pins and then tastefully embellished with beads and buttons. Excellent job, Lorna and thank you for inspiring us all to take our next sewing project to a new level!!
