Maker Faire Detroit

A big Thank You! to Janome for providing sewing machines so Haberman Fabrics and ASE could inspire all ages to learn to sew. Pictured on the right, modeling two of the projects she made is one of the aspiring young sewers we met at the Maker Faire Detroit this past weekend. She made a flirty flower barrette and an infinity scarf! Young and old alike were thrilled with our projects and you will be too when you join Peter Fedor (pictured above left) at the Sew Party Cafe in September at the expo.
The Maker Faire Detroit, held annually at the Henry Ford in Dearborn, MI is a place where people come to learn how things are made. In many cases they even get the opportunity to have a hands-on experience.Learning about everything from steam engines, to electronics and all sorts of hand made items.
