DARF/U-CAN Communication Ministry
In cooperation with the overseas mission partners of Global Ministries, DAFR/U-CAN originally built a radio network in the Congo in the 1960s and 1970s, and re-built it in 1985.  This system has deteriorated over the past 20 years of use in this extreme environment with only a few stations remaining operational. Civic infrastructure no longer exists due to neglect during years of military strife. Churches and outposts are separated by hundreds of miles of deep forests. The only way to send messages is by sending a person on a several-weeks journey by canoe or walking.  ~Learn More~
